Say no to PLAGIARISM

Some of us may think that to copy or to borrow someone's work isn't bad cause it's what most of us are doing but it actually can cause an offense. Plagiarize, according to Merriam-Webster online dictionary, it is to steal and pass off as one's own; to use without crediting the source; to commit literary theft; and to present as new and original idea or product derived from an existing source. In short, plagiarism is stealing and stealing is an illegal action.

In our generation, we consider plagiarism as a natural thing - like, it's a normal behavior of a person. However, plagiarism still is stealing. In my school - APC - they doesn't entertain any act of it. In fact, they give 0.0 for those people whom the professor will caught copying. Thinking that plagiarism is an illegal act can help us think on our own and it can widen the range or broaden the learnings we have. It's the thing that we can think more, that we can do more than they does. And it can help us think also that when you copy, you will not learn, you will not be satisfied and of course you're just fooling yourself.
According to Plagiarism.org, the following are the things that can be considered plagiarism and WE ARE NOT AWARE:
*turning in someone else's work as your own
*copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit
*failing to put a quotation marks in a quotation
*giving incorrect information about the source

All in all, plagiarism is a thing or behavior we

have to remove because it can just give us false hope - false hope is that we know we knew the thing but the fact is not. It can be prevented, you just have to depend not on what other's are doing but depend on what you can and also you must have to be responsible enough.

Rio Alma

Artist is someone who is passionate enough to draw, to write, to sing, to dance and everything. We, all is an artist in different ways and in different passion. We have a lot of artist ll over the world but not all is given a chance a chance to shine all throughout their career. This artist was one of a kind, he maybe not the most famous artist but he is surely different from other artist.

Virgilio S. Almario or Rio Alma is one of the national artist of the Philippines. He grew up in bulacan and completed his degree in A.B Political Science at the University of the East. He is known because of the numerous awards that he get from different organizations such as Palanca awards, Makata ng Taon, and South East Asia Write Award of Bangkok to name a few. Rio Alma also translate the famous work of our Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. HE is also the founder of different organizations, such as Gallan sa Arte at Tula (GAT), Linangan sa imahen, retorika at anyo(LIPA) and he is the currently chairman of the Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF). He also have 9 different poetry collections and the latest was Buwan, Buwang, Bulawan (2009).

Furthermore, he is really one of our national artist who we can be proud of, as a Filipino. And even though he was not born rich, he pursue his dreams and he worked hard to aim all those awards. He really deserve what he has right now. To end this, I just want to leave an inspiring qoutes, "If you worked hard for it, you deserve it."

Little Keshyy

We have a pet that is given to us by one of my mom's officemate. We use to play and mess around the house but she was now dead, just last Tuesday around 12 or 1 A.M. We all felt sad cause she stayed in us for just 2 months and we never knew that it was our last time to see her. I published this blog, just for her. And for the little Keshyy, this letter is for you...

Gone is the days where you can mess around and play with us

Gone is the days where you can jump over me and lick or bite whatever you want

Gone is the days, months and years to come

I don't want you at first cause you're so messy

You torn all papers you see, bite all you want, poop and pee anywhere, and waste the water I put on the plastic ware

But you made such change

Everyone cooperates to clean your poop or when its time for you to eat

Everyone bond when you want to play with us or when you're hurt

But gone is the days

I scold and shout at you sometimes but you still want to play with me

I once think that when you die everything would be fine

No torn papers, no one poop and pee anywhere and no mess

But I was wrong, really REALLY wrong

Cause I now learn how to be sad cause you're not around

How to care for you and to love you

But sadly and suddenly

Days, months and years to come is gone

It's now time for us to cry and put all the memories in our hearts

And never say good bye to the one who once taught us how to be patient in life and how to value things

And for you, Keshyy

Enjoying yet tiring

A history was in the line of the School of Accountancy and Business or SoAB because the name was moved to SoM or School of management. We all freshmen students A.Y 2015-2016 was really honored to be part of the history of SoM.

I am really happy hat besides the long notes of my to do list in school, we are still given a chance to enjoy even in just a moment. And even I didn't join any sport, I am still enjoying the SoM week.It was just not a week of pure partying but there are also seminar which we learned a lot about culture diversity. It was my first time have this kind of activity and I really had so much fun, though it was quiet tiring but it was really worth it. Even if I almost lost my voice just to cheer for my classmates, it was still fun. And of course the thing I liked the most was the no classes days.

we all have fun going to different activities of SoM but because of those no classes days, most of our professor leave us tons of activities. It was quiet hard because in the first place, we are supposed to enjoy or to have fun in the whole week but because of those activities I find it hard to enjoy a lot- but it was a nice challenge for me.

SoM week was filled with fun activities. Sleepless nights were really worth it because we had so much fun and we met new friends from different courses. All the learning that we've got from different activities was really very useful. I learn that you must not just be inside your box, there are a lot of opportunities outside it, so why don't try/ Right/ And once you fail, stood up. Every one fail, not only you.

'Twas scary

Horror movies really scares me a lot. Like, every time I watched a horror movie, i will surely had a bad dream about it. It also takes long weeks to remove it on my mind because every time I do the things that was played on the movie, I easily remember every single details of it. the movie really left me shocked, because I still keep on thinking that i might met a person whose from outer space and ws just dressed as a human being.

Its story was started on a group of aliens who ate brains- sounds like "yuck" cause brains doesn't have taste and it's soft- very, very soft. And there is this one alien who just go into the hand of the boy and not into his brain. At first, they were not in good terms- who wants an alien on his hands? Uh?- but when they knew each other, they became best buddies. They fought for the other aliens but the climax came, one of the aliens go into the boy's mom. He really searched hard just to find his mom, and finally, they met but unfortunately the alien on his hand was sleepy and can't help him for the fight but he still goes on cause he had no choice. So, he successfully beat the alien, he doesn't bring his mom's life but at least he can bring his mom to a better bed. Then when he was in the school, the alien detected a fighting smell on another alien, the students started to shout and run but he was too late because many died. but still, he never lose hope, so he goes on and saved his girlfriend. he won that battle and from then on, he had the desire to kill all bad aliens.

The movie really did great- even though it scares me- because it lefts a scary feeling to each and every one of the viewers.

Quit it now!

A seminar was held at Asia Pacific College which taught me a lot of information when one person doesn't quit smoking. I don't smoke but I can be a second hand smoker, that's why the seminar was really helpful, not only in my case- a second hand smoker- but also for those who really smoked a lot.
There are two speakers but this speaker really gave me so much information about smoking.

"Quit smoking" words that marked into my head when his presentation was finished. That words were said many times by the speaker who once have a cancer, but by the grace of God, he was now a cancer survivor. but smoking really left scars on his history, he was now using a device that when he put into his neck he was able to speak but his voice was just like a robot. Before, he smoked two packs of cigarettes a day. And in my sixteen years of living here on Earth, I never met anyone who smoked like that. And I don't even have knowledge that a person can smoked two packs of cigarettes a day. It was quite interesting for me but a bit of scary feeling of course.

The seminar was all about the bad effects of smoking. They also created  a NGO who helped people who had a cancer because of smoking. They also had a project, the project was all the packs of cigarette had a picture of a person who has a cancer. In that way, they think that smokers will quit smoking. He also said that every month there are persons who died because of smoking. And also, there are person who seek help in their NGO for the support; every month.

As I can see, smoking is really a bad habit. I don't know how hard it is to quit smoking because I don't smoke but I think it wasn't hard because as the saying goes, "If there's a will, there's a way."

It's Teatro Phileo

Teatré Phileo was an organization in Asia Pacific College that plays different Theatre play.

Last October 9, 2015, our EEP adviser, Ms. Eliz gives us a chance to watch the play “Tatay Mong Kalbo” by the selected members of Teatré Phileo and was translated by Isagani Cruz. I really often watch Theatre play unless it is required.

At first, I really don’t understand what’s the meaning of the play, because every cast mostly repeated a line or a word twice or sometimes more than thrice. It takes time for me to think what is the meaning of the play because you need to think more than what is in the play or think outside the box. The story started with Mr. and Mrs. Santos and they invited Mr. and Mrs. Reyes to visit their house. And then they are later joined by Mr. and Mrs. Santos' maid, Maria. Mrs. Reyes was not sure if she had a husband or a child. Then at the midst of conversation of Mr. and Mrs. Santos and Mr. and Mrs. Reyes, Hepe appeared to be the lover of Maria. Katakataka was the word they repeat and in my point of view, it was really mysterious why the translator turned the movie into this theatre play.

The theatre play ended by the first scene, but it was acted by Mr. and Mrs. Reyes. And the thing that I like the most in the ending part was the sayings that the cast gives to us, audience.

It may look unclear at first but if you think of what is outside the box? You will enjoy the meaning of it. As a new or a freshman student, it taught me that don’t just base on what you see, think of what is outside or what is the reason of it.

Turn Left, Turn Right

Did you know that it is estimated that 2 out of 10 persons doesn’t believe in forever after break ups? Well, some say, “God is the only forever.” So they mean that there is no such thing as forever when it comes to a relationship? Uhhh! They gonna be kidding me! Cause there is such a forever thingy!

John Liu and Eve Choi was just a wall away from each other and yet they still haven’t met each other for a long time. They actually met in a camping activity back when they were still on their elementary days. Eve ask for John’s number. John gave it but Eve left the piece of the paper where the number was written together with her bag on the train she rode. On the first part, you will definitely think that they are really not for each other but when the day came, they accidentally met, just like how they met when they were on the fountain back when they were on grade school. They get to know each other and when on the midst of the conversation they found out that they are related to each other. They exchange phone numbers but not names, until it rains and they go into different direction.

So, they reach their home. And they both found out that the number was erased. If you think that they are not for each other, think again. Because they do the same thing, they get cold and they are brought into the same hospital and say the same words to the same doctor. They also ordered the same meal at the same restaurant. They keep on guessing what the erased numbers was. And then, when the time was ready for them to meet each other, they met accidentally.

The movie taught me of so many things in life. It taught me that do not rush things especially when it comes to love, because love comes at the right time. It also taught me that when you are for each other, no matter what tragedy comes to split on your way, love will still dominate.

The Real Hero

Is it for country or self? For country or for family? Questions that I surely bet General Antonio Luna once asked in his self. Questions that may took a long time to answer if I were in his shoes. But he was just that bold to pick and go for the country.
In today's generation, everyone knew him as the "article one man" but back then every Filipino knew him as a hotheaded, boastful and dedicated general. He is also the most trusted man-in-arms of the late President Emilio Aguinaldo. General Antonio Luna was the man who gave all he has just for the country, a man who has the chance to change his future but he never did. he still chose what he was back then.
He maybe not the most famous, not the most brilliant one, and not the most good among all heroes but he is the most dedicated and deserving person to be called as "hero." Everything that he possibly can, he do just for our country. He fought until his last breath, defend until his last blood and protect until his last sweat.

But in this world, where people are just that rude to fight against their brother it is east to lose one people who is not the real enemy.
We, all are the great hero of our own story. We can change the future of our country. We, youth of this generation is the hope of this land of ours. We can be the heroes! Not like what General Antonio Luna, Doctor Jose Rizal, and Andres Bonifacio did but in our own simple way. Now, let me ask you this, Country or self? Country or family?

Suddenly, me

Long time ago, there was a land where only four different species are living, me, my body, the negatives and my self. me was composed of faith,conformity and starvings. my body was always in different personality, the negatives are the one breaking the rules and lastly, myself, it was built with different stories. me and my body have a strong relationship but when the negatives come to take some good things, they produce myself.
And the product of their combination is me. Hi! I'm Ciazon Royce Ancheta Pascual. 
I came in a city where thrifty and hard-working people are born. I am at my 16th chapter of my life. Me only exist when I tried, when I conform and when I began to have faith and of course the negatives are always there no matter what happen.
For me, faith is the beginning of everything. Faith first and love follows. conform, for you to know what is right but I didn't mean that to disobey is to become a bad egg. In my side, it is one of the steps you need to go through to be a good, wholesome, right and sensible person. It is the start of your journey to know what and where your limits is, because how can you know the good result if you haven't received all the bad result of your doings. I heard one people say, "Do whatever you think is right. Break the rules, if you think it is good. But when your way doesn't work, learn from it, rise and start taking another route." I also believe that, if you strive hard, you will receive what you want and what you deserve to have.
The manager of your life is you. No one can ruin it unless you told them to do so. don't let the negatives dominion in your life, just add a little of them when you start walking the route you want to take. Remember, not all are learnt from those good things.
